After receiving her Master's degree in Electronics in Ukraine, Dr. Kulyk pursued a PhD in Physics in the UK as part of a joint project between the University of St. Andrews, Ninewells Hospital and Medical School in Dundee, and Ambicare Health Ltd in Livingston. She obtained her PhD by developing portable and wearable optoelectronic devices for sensing of tissue conditions, diagnostics and treatment in Photodynamic Therapy (PDT).

Following her PhD, Dr. Kulyk worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the ELI Beamlines Research Centre in the Czech Republic, where she focused on developing an experimental station for single-particle experiments involving viruses and proteins. She participated in numerous on-site projects at several prestigious facilities, including the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in the US, TU Berlin in Germany, Uppsala and Gothenburg Universities in Sweden, and the European XFEL and DESY in Hamburg, Germany.

Dr. Kulyk qualified as a European patent attorney at a renowned law firm in Munich and subsequently worked as an IP Counsel at BASF SE, focusing on digital technologies for chemical applications. She joined Kraus & Lederer in 2023, where her practice now centres on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in engineering, electronics, software, AI, and medical systems.

In her spare time, Dr. Kulyk enjoys gardening and hiking.
